Red Storm to take on six 2022 NCAA Tournament participants in 14-game slate
QUEENS, N.Y. - First-year Head Coach Justin Turri has unveiled the 2023 St. John's lacrosse schedule.

"Our student-athletes choose St. John's to compete amongst the best, in the BIG EAST and nationally," Justin Turri said ."In our pursuit of championships on-and-off the field, we are eager to test our collective growth against so many established programs. We all couldn't be more excited for the schedule we were able to compile and the spring season ahead."
Turri will make his head coaching debut in a familiar place, as the Johnnies will meet Manhattan on Feb. 11 at his and Assistant Coach Kyle Turri's alma mater West Islip High School. The meeting marks the second year in a row to between the two New York City schools. On March 5, 2022, the Red Storm utilized a four-goal run in the second half to move past the Jaspers, 9-7. Face-off specialist Jake Oemcke recorded a career-high 17 wins at the "X" in Queens.
The Johnnies will then head to Delaware on Feb. 18 for the first time since 2005, for a meeting with the Blue Hens. The reigning CAA Champions are fresh off an NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal appearance, after knocking off no. 2 Georgetown, 10-9, in the opening round.
On Feb. 25, St. John's will open action at DaSilva Memorial Field when it welcomes local foe Hofstra for the 25th all-time meeting between the two programs. Last year, the Pride held the upper hand in a defensive battle on its home field, winning, 12-6, on Feb. 27.
