St. John’s to Host First StormChat Speaker Series of the Year: NIL and the Legal Landscape

Panel will include both St. John’s Law Students and Law School Alum
QUEENS, N.Y. (Sept. 16, 2022) – The St. John's Athletic Department will host its first StormChat Speaker Series of the year, NIL and the Legal Landscape, on Monday at 6 p.m. The panel is part of the St. John's UNLIMITED program, a multi-faceted program that focuses on educational opportunities for student-athletes.
The event, in collaboration with the St. John's School of Law, will focus on the basics of name, image and likeness (NIL) with a particular focus on the legal aspects.
The panel will feature two students from the School of Law as well as an attorney.
Kiersten Daly, a 2020 graduate of Colgate University, was a four-year freestyle swimmer for the Raiders. Daly is now a third-year law student at St. John's.
Fairleigh Dickinson 2020 alum Julia Shea will also speak at the event. The former women's soccer player is a third-year law student at St. John's and serves as editor-in-chief of the Law Review.
The panel is rounded out by Miller Lulow, an attorney at Mayer Brown. Lulow received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz from SUNY Purchase in 2013 where he was a member of the baseball team. He then received his Juris Doctorate from St. John's in 2018.
