QUEENS, N.Y. – The BIG EAST Conference released the complete league schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 men's basketball season on Friday morning.
Once again, every St. John's basketball game this season will be nationally televised through the conference's partnership with FOX Sports. BIG EAST Opening Night Tip-Off will be featured on FS1 on Nov. 7, the opening night of the college basketball season. Live look-ins will be available on FS1 while full game coverage can be found on the FOX Sports App.
St. John's will be featured on national broadcast television at least three times during the BIG EAST season with two scheduled games on FOX and one on CBS.
The Red Storm's 20-game league slate will begin on Dec. 7 in Queens against DePaul. In total, the Johnnies will host four conference games at Madison Square Garden and six at Carnesecca Arena, the on-campus home of St. John's Basketball.
St. John's will play its final two non-conference games after opening league play against the Blue Demons, welcoming New Hampshire on Dec. 10 before traveling to Sunrise, Fla., for a neutral site matchup against Florida State on Dec. 17.
The Red Storm will resume conference action on Dec. 21 when it travels to The Finneran Pavilion for its first meeting of the Kyle Neptune Era against Villanova. St. John's will look to claim its first win on Villanova's campus since 2013.
Following a week off for Christmas, the Johnnies will play host to Xavier at Carnesecca Arena on Dec. 28. Last season, the Red Storm swept Xavier for the first time since 2014-15, defeating the Musketeers by 13 in Cincinnati before notching a 15-point win on Senior Night in Queens.
St. John's will close out 2022 with a road tilt against local rival Seton Hall at Prudential Center on Dec. 31. The contest will mark the third time in the last eight years that the Red Storm will take on the Pirates on New Year's Eve in New Jersey. St. John's, which defeated Seton Hall last season in Walsh Gymnasium, last won in Newark during the 2013-14 season.
The Red Storm will open 2023 on Jan. 3 at Carnesecca Arena with a matchup against Marquette. Last season, the Johnnies' Dec. 29 home game against the Golden Eagles was postponed due to COVID concerns and never rescheduled.
St. John's will travel to Providence on Jan. 7 for a showdown at the newly named Amica Mutual Pavilion against the reigning BIG EAST regular season champions. The Red Storm has taken three of the last five meetings between the charter BIG EAST members.
On Jan. 10, the Red Storm will welcome Butler to Carnesecca Arena, a building that has seen St. John's win five of its last six against the Bulldogs.
Five days later, St. John's will travel to Hartford for a matchup against Connecticut inside the XL Center on Jan. 15. The game will mark the first for St. John's at the fromer Hartford Civic Center since Dec. 31, 2011.
The Red Storm will make its Madison Square Garden debut on Jan. 20 with a Friday night contest against reigning BIG EAST Champion Villanova. The Johnnies have called "The World's Most Famous Arena" home since 1931 and have played at least one game in the building every season since 1934-35.
St. John's will travel to Omaha for a Jan. 25 showdown against Creighton before returning to MSG to host Georgetown on Jan. 29. The Red Storm has won four of its last five against Georgetown and owns a 63-57 advantage over the Hoyas all-time dating back to 1909.
The Red Storm will take on another original BIG EAST rival at home on Feb. 1 when Seton Hall visits Carnesecca Arena. Excluding the 2020-21 COVID-effected season, the Pirates have not played on the Queens campus since 2014-15. The Johnnies are 22-3 all-time against Seton Hall inside Carnesecca Arena.
After taking on the Pirates, the Red Storm will head west for its only two-game road swing of conference play. The Johnnies will face off against Xavier inside Cintas Center on Feb. 4 before traveling to historic Hinkle Fieldhouse on Feb. 7. Last season, the Red Storm won games in each of those buildings for the first time since 2015 and 2014, respectively.
St. John's returns to "The Mecca" on Feb. 11 for an afternoon game against Providence before traveling to Chicago for a contest with DePaul on Feb. 14.

The Johnnies will host Senior Day against Connecticut at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 25 before closing out the regular season at Marquette for the second straight year on March 4.
The BIG EAST Tournament will run from March 8-11 and return to Madison Square Garden for the 41st consecutive season. St. John's and the BIG EAST will also co-host the 2023 NCAA East Regional Finals at "The World's Most Famous Arena" on March 23 and 25.
