St. John’s Receives Votes in Preseason Associated Press Poll

Red Storm earns preseason votes for first time since 2018-19 season
QUEENS, N.Y. – Entering its first season under Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino, the St. John's men's basketball team has received 47 votes in the Associated Press (AP) Preseason Top 25 poll as announced on Monday.
The Red Storm, one of six teams from the BIG EAST to receive votes, is also ranked 23rd on the ballot of CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein and listed 25th on the ballot by FOX College Hoops' John Fanta.
The Johnnies last received votes in the AP's preseason poll prior to the 2018-19 season, receiving three votes in the rankings. St. John's was last ranked during the 2018-19 season, reaching as high as No. 24 en route to the program's 29th NCAA Tournament berth.
