“An Evening with St. John’s Basketball” Set for Sept. 28

Red Storm Head Coach Rick Pitino to preview the 2023-24 season at premier annual fundraising event at 583 PARK AVENUE
QUEENS, N.Y. – The Red Storm has announced "An Evening with St. John's Basketball" is scheduled for Thursday, September 28. The men's basketball program's premier annual fundraising event will be held at 583 PARK AVENUE.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and a formal program at approximately 6:45 p.m. Head Coach Rick Pitino, as well as several players and staff members, will be in attendance.
Vin Parise of FOX Sports will serve as the evening's emcee and moderate a Q&A session with St. John's Hall of Fame coach.
During his 35 seasons as a collegiate head coach, Pitino, who brings an 834-293 career head coaching record to Queens, has made 23 NCAA Tournament appearances with five different schools and advanced to the Final Four seven times, a total reached by only six coaches all-time.
Pitino became the first coach to take three different schools to the Final Four and the first coach to win an NCAA Championship at two different schools. With a 54-21 record in the NCAA Tournament, Pitino holds the third-highest winning percentage in NCAA Tournament games (.720) among all active coaches.
Tickets for "An Evening with St. John's Basketball" are available for $1,250. Silent and live auctions will also be on display and will open to all at a later date.
