QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's men's basketball team will square off with Baylor in its third-ever meeting at the 2024 Continental Tire Baha Mar Championship at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center on Nov. 21, as announced by bdG Sports on Friday. Tip-off for the opening contest is slated for 7 p.m.

The Johnnies and Bears have met two previous times, seeing St. John's edge Baylor, 83-82, on Dec. 7, 1978, at Alumni Hall. Wayne McKoy rattled off a career-high 31 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the floor and nine boards while Reggie Carter and Gordon Thomas chipped in 21 and 18 points, respectively.
St. John's and Baylor met again nearly 44 years later at the Charleston Classic on Nov. 18, 2012. Phil Greene IV recorded 24 points while teammate D'Angelo Harrison tallied 20 points of his own in the 97-78 setback to No. 16/17 Baylor.

Pitino's No. 10 Louisville squad went down to the final whistle against Drew's No. 20 Bears, falling just short, 66-63, in the top-20 matchup.
St. John's and Baylor will also join Tennessee and Virginia in the four-team field. In total, the head coaches of the four teams appearing at the fourth-annual event have combined to amass four NCAA championships and over 2,500 career victories in more than 100 seasons.
