Bryce Hopkins Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

St. John’s wing earns first conference recognition of the season
NEW YORK – St. John's graduate student Bryce Hopkins garnered his first weekly accolade of the season on Monday, earning selection to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
The 6-foot-7 forward/guard claimed his 11th career BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll nod after leading the Red Storm with 20 points in a lopsided win over Bucknell on Thursday night. Hopkins connected on seven of his nine attempts from the floor, including a 3-for-4 showing from beyond the arc. His three triples matched a career high.
Additionally, Hopkins pulled down three boards, dished out three assists and swiped three steals in just 18 minutes of action during the 97-49 victory over the Bison. The Red Storm's 48-point margin of victory was the team's largest of the Rick Pitino Era.
On the season, Hopkins leads the team with 15.5 points per game and is shooting 56.8% from the floor.
Hopkins and the No. 14/16 Red Storm will begin play this afternoon against No. 16/14 Iowa State at the Players Era Championship in Las Vegas. Tip-off from Michelob ULTRA is set for 4:30 p.m. ET on truTV.
