St. John’s Head Men’s Basketball Coach discusses Saturday’s top-15 matchup against Alabama at Madison Square Garden
QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's Men's Basketball Head Coach Rick Pitino will join Dan Dakich on Outkick's "Don't @ Me" with the episode debuting on Friday.
Pitino will join Dakich's show to discuss Saturday's contest against No. 15/16 Alabama, the college basketball landscape and preview a highly-anticipated season for the Red Storm. The full episode of the show will be live on OutKick.com or via YouTube.
Pitino, who is in his third season at St. John's, has recorded a 52-18 (.742) overall record in 70 games leading the Red Storm. The 2013 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee has racked up 886 victories in 38 seasons as an NCAA Division I Head Coach, the highest total among active coaches.
St. John's started its season with a 108-74 victory over Quinnipiac in Queens on Monday. The Johnnies dished out 25 assists on 39 made field goals, as five players finished in double-figures in front of a sold-out crowd at Carnesecca Arena.
The Johnnies will play their first of 12 regular season games at The World's Most Famous Arena on Saturday afternoon, when they welcome the Crimson Tide to MSG for the first time since 1955. Madison Square Garden Ticket Plans and single-game tickets for Saturday's game are still available.
