St. John’s Men’s Basketball Returns to ESPN Radio

All 31 regular season games will air on 880AM, 1050AM or the ESPN New York App this season
QUEENS, N.Y. – For the first time in two decades, St. John's men's basketball games will air on ESPN New York, one of the most widely listened to and influential radio outlets in the nation.
Beginning with Saturday's highly anticipated tilt against Alabama, all 30 of the Red Storm's remaining regular season games will air on either ESPN New York 880 AM, ESPN New York 1050 AM or the ESPN New York app. At least 26 of those contests will air on either 880 AM or 1050 AM while all 30 can be found on the ESPN New York app, available for download at the App Store and on Google Play. Audio broadcasts from the LEARFIELD Red Storm Sports Network will continue to air on the Varsity Network app, TuneIn and SiriusXM.
This season will mark the Red Storm's first on terrestrial radio since 2020-21. The Red Storm last appeared regularly on ESPN Radio during the 2006-07 season.
"It's difficult to put into words how excited I am to have the Red Storm back on the air in the media capital of the world," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Ed Kull. "One of the most common refrains I've heard from our fans over the past year is that they want us back on radio. To have the Johnnies share the airwaves with some of New York's top professional teams is a testament to our place in the city's sports landscape and the passion of our fanbase."
New York broadcasting legend John Minko returns for his 18th season anchoring the Red Storm radio booth. He will be joined by a rotating cast of analysts including Brandon Tierney, Vin Parise, Tarik Turner and Brian Mahoney.
