Rick Pitino to Join WFAN on Friday Ahead of CBS Sports Classic

St. John’s Head Coach will join Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata at 12:40 p.m. ahead of Saturday’s showdown against Kentucky in Atlanta
QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's Men's Basketball Head Coach Rick Pitino will appear on WFAN's "Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata Show" on Friday at 12:40 p.m. ahead of the Red Storm's contest against Kentucky in the CBS Sports Classic.

The third year St. John's coach will discuss Saturday's pivotal matchup against the Wildcats, which will tip-off at 12:30 p.m. from State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Pitino coached at Kentucky for eight seasons from 1989-97, where led the Wildcats to three Final Fours (1993, '96, '97) and won a National Championship in 1996.
The Johnnies are off to a 7-3 start and have won three straight contests. The Red Storm started its BIG EAST Regular Season title defense on Tuesday as it took down DePaul, 79-66, at Carnesecca Arena.
The 17th all-time meeting between St. John's and Kentucky will air on CBS and an audio broadcast will be available on 1050 AM ESPN New York.
