VICE Sports Adds Seventh Episode to Pitino: Red Storm Rising Docuseries

QUEENS, N.Y. – VICE Sports announced on Thursday it will add a bonus seventh episode to the critically acclaimed docuseries Pitino: Red Storm Rising, currently airing Tuesday's in primetime on VICE TV. Initially slated for a six-episode run, Pitino: Red Storm Rising follows Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Rick Pitino in his second season leading the No. 6/6 St. John's men's basketball team (26-4, 17-2 BIG EAST).

"VICE TV has been a great partner and has brought a lot of inside action to our fans," said Pitino. "We are excited for a seventh episode, which leads into the NCAA Tournament."

The Johnnies clinched the program's first outright BIG EAST Regular Season title on Saturday with a 71-61 victory before a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden. St. John's has also been ranked inside the top-10 in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll for four consecutive weeks for the first time since the Johnnies held a spot in the top-10 for seven weeks from Dec. 25, 1990 to Feb. 5, 1991.

Episodes five and six will air on Tuesday, March 11 and March 18 at 10 p.m. ET. The bonus seventh episode slated to run on Thursday, April 3 at 10 p.m. ET.
