Xuan Khue Minh Doan Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week

NEW YORK – St. John's women's golf standout Xuan Khue Minh Doan was named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced on Thursday.
Minh Doan finished runner-up for the second consecutive tournament at the Spring Break Shootout. The Hanoi, Vietnam native carded a 2-under, 211, at Lake Jovita Golf Club in Dade City, Fla. The junior shot even or under par in all three rounds logging a 70-71-70 throughout the 54 holes guiding the Red Storm to a ninth-place finish.
The runner-up finish marked the second-straight for Minh Doan after taking second individually and leading the Johnnies to a team title at the Northern Kentucky Spring Fling. Minh Doan has logged four top-10 finishes this season and a team-best 76.3 adjusted scoring average.
A 2024 All-BIG EAST selection Minh Doan wins the award for the second time in her St. John's career after earning conference golfer of the week honors on Feb. 16, 2024.
The Red Storm will be back in action at the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, N.J. on April 5-6.
