Bio
Kvilhaug on King: 'Bionka can be seen as the glue that holds the team together with her strong leadership, passion for people and team first mentality. When the game is on the line, Bionka is the player that adds the spark needed for any particular situation. Versatile on defense and a threat in several ways on offense, it will be difficult not to see Bionka on the field and contributing.'
As a Junior in 2007: Set career highs in nearly every category ... set personal records in batting average (.287), games played/started (53/50), at bats (136), runs (16), hits (39), doubles (8), RBI (15), total bases (47), slugging percentage (.346), walks (6), on-base percentage (.326), sac-hits (7), and stolen bases (10) ... led the squad in stolen bases ... second on the team in batting average, games played, and sac-hits ... set career game highs in at-bats (5), runs (2), and hits (3) in an extra inning win vs. Syracuse (April 21) ... went three-for-three with a run and two RBI in a win vs. Fairleigh Dickinson (April 19).
As a Sophomore in 2006: Registered career highs in runs (8) and RBI (4) ... played in 10 BIG EAST games ... was 2-for-2 in stolen bases ... saw time in 27 games for the Red Storm, starting 12 ... earned valuable experience in left field ... recorded one hit, one run and two RBI against Buffalo (Feb. 24) ... drove in two runs and scored a run against Gardner Webb (Feb. 17).
As a Freshman in 2005: Appeared in 27 games, starting nine ... hit .233 while driving in two runs with seven hits and seven runs ... earned time in two BIG EAST games ... notched her first hit and RBI of the season against Iowa State (March 5) ... had her first career stolen base against Marist (April 27) ... had a season high two hits and scored a run at Long Island (April 20) ... recorded six assists in a 3-2 extra inning loss to Fresno State (March 5).
