Bio
As a graduate student in 2021: Started all 30 of the games she appeared in… Led the team in batting (.402 average), walks (10), slugging percentage (.707), runs scored (29) and doubles (12)… Tied for team lead in triples (2) and stolen bases (13)… Reached base in 17 consecutive games… Earned second consecutive All-BIG EAST First Team honor… Was named to NFCA All-Region Second Team… Named BIG EAST Player of the Week… Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll… Smashed a two-RBI double and scored the game-winning run in a 12-3 win over Rhode Island… Recorded a hit in six straight games to start the season (March 5-March 13) with multiple hits in five out of six of those games and at least one RBI in four of those contests… Tallied three RBI on a double and a sacrifice fly against Hofstra (March 17)… Put together a second six-game hit streak (March 21-April 3) with hits against Seton Hall, Fordham, Providence and Butler.

As a sophomore in 2018: Saw action in 46 games, with starts in 42 contests… Improved her batting average from her freshman year, hitting .273… Recorded 35 hits, seven doubles and six home runs, to complement her 23 RBIs and 20 runs… Drove in game-high three RBIs in Red Storm’s 9-1 victory over ECU (Feb. 10)… Rose to the occasion and delivered a game-winning, two-run shot to take down Georgetown, 3-2 (Mar. 30).
As a freshman in 2017: Played in 31 games with 14 starts in her debut season … Hitting .222 with 13 RBIs … In 54 at bats, recording 12 hits and eight runs…In five games Rizzi crushed three homers, Including her first homerun at the colligate level against Iona College (April 12) … She backed that with a three-run homer against Butler (April 15) …Her final dinger of the season came on solo shot against LIU Brooklyn (April 19) ... Reached base a total of 26 times and went 1-for-1 on stolen base attempts.
Before St. John's: Four year letter winner in softball ... guided Eastport South Manor High School to the LI `AA' state finals after earning Class AA First Team All-State recognition honors ... earned League V Pitcher of the Year honors in 2016 ... member of five-straight League V championships ... named to the All-Country team from 2013-2016 ... received Suffolk County Player of the Year honors in 2016 after amassing 21 wins on the mound with a 0.35 ERA and hitting .500 at the plate ... named League V Rookie of the Year as an eighth grader ... also played for the nationally ranked Long Island Gold Club squad.
