Aidan Mansfield
- Title:
- Graduate Assistant, Men's Basketball
Following four years as a student manager, Aidan Mansfield officially joined the St. John’s Men’s Basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2025.
In this role, Mansfield will play a significant role in the team’s video operations while assisting the director of operations with several organizational tasks, including the supervision of more than 20 student managers.
A Westchester native, Mansfield earned the title of head manager after just one season with the Red Storm, serving in the role from June of 2022 until his graduation. In that capacity, Mansfield hired and trained new managers while helping the program in countless ways. He assisted in individual player workouts and practice drills while also aiding in the team’s film, travel and equipment operations.
In Mansfield’s final year as a student manager, the Red Storm claimed the outright BIG EAST Regular Season title for the first time in 40 years before winning the BIG EAST Tournament and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2000. The Johnnies’ 31 victories matched a school record and the Red Storm climbed as high as no. 5 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, the program’s best ranking since the 1990-91 campaign.
In addition to his role with the Red Storm, Mansfield has also served as a counselor at the Jr. Knicks Camp in the summer of 2024.
Mansfield, a graduate of Scarsdale High School, earned his undergraduate degree in business management and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport management.
