Fall 2007: Posted a 4-3 record in singles during three tournaments ... Picked up her first collegiate singles win by defeating UConn[apos]s Jessica Porter in straight sets - 6-4, 6-0 ... Advanced to the quarterfinals of the Flight D singles draw at the USTA Invitational, going 2-1 at the event ... Posted a 4-2 doubles mark with two different partners ... teamed with Gabija Gasiunaite to win the Lichtenberg Doubles draw at the Army Invitational, going 4-0.
At Sacred Heart Academy: A four-year letterwinner in tennis ... captained the Sacred Heart squad her senior year, leading the team to the Kentucky State Championship ... named back-to-back team MVP in 2004 and 2005 ... was a member of the Kentucky all-state team in 2004, 2006-07 ... won Kentucky[apos]s Jr. Davis/Jr. Fed Cup in 2006.
Personal: Only child of Michael and Carolyn Barnett ... plans to be sports management major.
Off The Court: When not playing tennis, Barnett enjoys going to the movies, bowling and listening to music. She lists her parents as the most influential people in her athletic career. Nicknamed 'Em' and 'Freshie,' Barnett lists Friends as her favorite TV show.
