Known as “The Whopper,” 6-foot-10 big man Paultz averaged a career double-double of 12.0 points per game and 10.1 rebounds in his two seasons. His last-second shot downed No. 2 Davidson in overtime in 1969, and his 389 rebounds during the 1969-70 season ranked as the seventh-best single-season effort in school history at the time of his induction.
