A four-year standout who anchored St. John’s to a pair of College World Series appearances in 1978 and 1980, Latrenta hit .353 over his four seasons, good enough for one of the top-ten career averages in program history. He stole 75 bases in just 94 career attempts, good enough for fifth all-time at St. John’s. Latrenta also ranks in the top 10 in program history for hits (242), doubles (51), triples (13) and runs scored (183).
