A standout defender and the first guard in St. John's history to score more than 1,000 career points, McMahon led Frank McGuire's Redmen to their 1952 NCAA title game appearance as a senior. His floor leadership and trademark two-handed set shot earned him All American honors and an accomplished pro career.
