A consistent scorer and free throw shooter for the Redmen, the older of the McIntyre brothers was the 1965 NIT Tournament Most Valuable player, scoring a team-high 18 points in coach Joe Lapchick's final game and averaging 25.2 points per game in the postseason. His 87.8 percent free throw shooting effort as a senior in 1964-65 ranked third in school history at the time of his induction, as was his 81.9 career free throw percentage.
