On the mens side, Greg Danner (Pittsford, N.Y.) was a double winner in the 1000 Free (9:57.82) and the 200 Fly (1:57.72). Other winners for the Storm included Jerrod Janes (Carlsbad, N.M.) in the 50 Free (22.31), Jaak Savvi (Tallinn, Estonia) in the 200 IM (2:01.79), Tom Rueger (Mt. Vernon, Ind.) in the 100 Free (50.01), Daniel Miyoshi (Houston, Texas) in the 200 Back (2:01.88) and Danilo Perunovic (Belgrade, Yugoslavia) in the 200 Breast (2:18.44).
On the womens side, Lisa Zuffante (Staten Island, N.Y.) won both the 500 Free (5:23.24) and the 50 Free (26.33), while Laura Nuudi (Tallinn, Estonia) was a double winner in the 200 Free (1:58.35) and the 200 Back (2:12.43). Beth Malinowski (Delamrr, N.Y.) won the 100 Free in a time of 10:55.77, and Jennifer Alger (Eustis, Fla.) won the 200 IM in 2:13.58. Kristy Beal (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) won the 200 Breast in 2:35.84 and Denise Telford (Vancouver, B.C.) and Melissa Kolackovsky (Franklin Square, N.Y.) went 1-2 in the 100 Free, finishing in 56.25 and 57.44, respectively.
The Red Storm swim teams will be back in action on Saturday, December 9, when they host St. Francis in a dual meet at 1:00. This will be St. Johns final home meet of the season.
