SWIMMERS SWEEP ST. FRANCIS IN HOME FINALE

The men won six of eight individual events en route to the victory. Among the individual winners were Daniel Wells (Holland Landing, Ontario) in the 200 Free (1:48.40), Karol Ciechanowski (Gydnia, Poland) in the 200 IM (1:56.22), Jaak Savvi (Tallinn, Estonia) in the 100 Fly (51.92), Daniel Miyoshi (Houston, Texas) in the 100 Back (56.62), Michal Szapiel (Poznan, Poland) in the 500 Free (4:58.82) and Maciej Lewandowski (Torun, Poland) in the 100 Breast (1:00.48).
The women had four individual winners, including Jen Alger (Eustis, Fla.) in the 200 IM (2:15.28), Laura Nuudi (Tallinn, Estonia) in the 100 Fly (1:00.01), Beth Malinowski (Delmarr, N.Y.) in the 500 Free (5:15.23) and Denise Telford (Vancouver, B.C.) in the 100 Breast (1:09.24).
The mens and womens swim team will be heading for Barbados for their annual training trip on January 2-10, but will return to competition on January 13, 2001 when they travel to Fairfield for a dual meet at 1:00.
