24th-Ranked St. John's to Play Fordham

JAMAICA, N.Y. -- The 24th-ranked St. John's University men's basketball will play New York City rival Fordham on Saturday, December 9 at Madison Square Garden. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. and the game can be seen on Madison Square Garden.
The Red Storm enter the game with a 4-2 mark following a split at the BB&T Classic in Washington last weekend. St. John's lost to George Washington in the opening round and bounced back to beat Michigan, 97-83.
Fordham, meanwhile, enters the game with a 4-1 mark after beating Manhattan, 83-78, on Tuesday night. The Rams have been led this season by senior guard Bevon Robin, who is averaging 20.0 points per game.
This will be the first meeting between the teams since December 19, 1998, when St. John's beat Fordham, 88-57.
