SJU Baseball Game vs. Rider Cancelled
3/4/2002 12:00:00 AM | Baseball
JAMAICA, N.Y. -- The St. Johns University baseball game against Rider, scheduled for Monday at 3 p.m. in New Jersey, has been cancelled due to field conditions following the rain and cold this weekend.
The Red Storm had scheduled the game with the Broncs late last week after a trip to Oklahoma where the team was scheduled to play perennial national power Oklahoma State and Oral Roberts was postponed due to inclement weather in that area.
To make up for the three lost games, the Red Storm have added two games, one at Hofstra on March 15, and a home game against Columbia on Wednesday, April 10, with first pitch at the Ballpark coming at 7 p.m. Another game will be added in the near future to maintain the NCAA minimum of 56 games played.
