JAMAICA, N.Y. -- The St. John's University baseball game scheduled for Tuesday afternoon against Hofstra has postponed due to inclement weather in the New York Metropolitan area, head baseball coach Ed Blankmeyer announced.
The Red Storm (5-8) have tentatively rescheduled the game for Friday afternoon. First pitch for Friday's game against the Pride (4-9) is scheduled for 3 p.m.
After starting out the season with three-straight losses, the Red Storm have won five of their last eight games, winning two of three games at Lamar February 27-29 and at the University of North Carolina-Asheville this past weekend.
St. John's will now play games each day this weekend, beginning with Friday's game against Hofstra. The Red Storm will play a three-game series against Fairleigh Dickinson, with a doubleheader slated for Saturday, and a single game on Sunday.
