Audra Brown Named Associate Cheerleading Coach

The St. John???s Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Audra Brown as its associate cheerleading coach, effective immediately. Brown comes to St. John???s after serving as head coach at Niagara University for four years and working at St. Bonaventure University in public relations.
???Audra???s experience, discipline and organizational skills will be a valuable asset to our program,??? said John Diffley, Senior Associate Athletic Director.
Brown coached at Niagara from 2000-03 where she reorganized the cheerleading program. In addition to coaching, Brown was responsible for promoting the cheerleading and dance teams to students and the community. She also helped organize a cheerleading competition co-hosted by Niagara and Buffalo State College.
Before her tenure at Niagara, Brown worked for the United States Attorney???s Office in Buffalo, N.Y., where she served in public and community relations. Brown also worked as a public relations coordinator at St. Bonaventure where she was responsible for marketing the intramural program to students, helping to promote and distribute information about intramural tournaments to the campus and the community.
Brown graduated from St. Bonaventure in 1999, earning a bachelor of arts in psychology. While an undergraduate, she was a member of the Bonnies cheerleading squad. Brown earned her masters degree from Niagara University in 2002 in criminal justice administration.
Brown currently works full-time for the Department of Justice in New York City.
