Rachel Constantine Joins St. John's Athletic Communications Staff

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's Athletics announces the addition of Rachel Constantine as Associate Director of Communications. Constantine, who began her duties in mid-November, is the primary media relations contact for the Red Storm women's basketball and women's soccer programs.
Constantine is responsible for the publicity of the women's basketball and soccer teams, and the coordination of all media interviews between student-athletes, coaches and staff with the local and national media. Her duties include: writing and editing media guides, game recaps, news releases, game notes, game programs and feature stories. She is also responsible for updating and maintaining the women's basketball and women's soccer websites on RedStormSports.com, furthering the websites live video and live stats efforts, and providing media training for her student-athletes.
Constantine joined the St. John's staff after serving as an assistant sports information director at University of South Florida for more than four years. With the Bulls, she served as the primary contact for the women's volleyball and softball programs and spent a one-year stint with the women's soccer program. She also assisted with the football and men's' and women's basketball teams.
While working with the Bulls, Constantine earned CoSIDA All-District honors for three of her media guides, including a "Tenth in the Nation" and "First in the District" honor for her 2007 softball media guide.
In addition to her duties at USF, Constantine also worked with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers public relations department and game day media staff.
Constantine received a B.A. in mass communications from USF in 2003.
