- The Red Storm's 4-0 start is the best start since the 2002-03 squad opened with a 5-0 record. It is also the first 4-0 start in the Norm Roberts era.
- St. John's won the tap for the fourth consecutive game.
- The Red Storm opened the game on a 5-0 run. St. John's also opened the second half on a 6-0 run that was capped off by an Anthony Mason Jr. dunk.
- Justin Burrell recorded his third-career and third-straight double-double as he tallied a career-high 19 points to go with 12 rebounds.
- D.J. Kennedy set a new career mark with five steals and finished a rebound shy of his first career double-double as he put up 18 points and nine boards.
- Larry Wright connected on two 3-pointers and has now made at least one 3-pointer in all four games this year. Wright, who made 25 3-pointers last year, is now 12-21 (57.1%) from 3-point land in four games.
- Dele Coker made his first career start and grabbed three rebounds to go along with two points and a block in eight points.
- Eugene Lawrence added two more assists to his career total and now has 434. Lawrence now has 24 assists and just five turnovers this year.
- The Red Storm had a season-best 11 steals and added 15 points off of turnovers.
- A season-high 3,831 people were in attendance. St. John's is averaging 3,455 per game in four games.
