St. John's Baseball Announces Changes To 2007 Schedule

The St. John's baseball team and head coach Ed Blankmeyer have announced several changes to the 2007 schedule. This weekend's BIG EAST series against Connecticut, has been moved from Storrs, Conn., to Jack Kaiser Stadium because of unplayable conditions at J.O. Christian Field. A Tuesday, March 27, road contest at Columbia has also been relocated to Queens, with a scheduled start time of 3 p.m.

The Red Storm also picked up a game on its schedule, playing a doubleheader vs. Iona on Wednesday, May 9. Originally scheduled for a single game with a 7 p.m. start, the twin bill has been moved to 5 p.m. with two 7-inning games.

This weekend's UConn series ??? both teams' BIG EAST openers ??? begins with a 3 p.m. contest on Friday, followed by a 1 p.m. Saturday game and a Noon start on Sunday.
