QUEENS, N.Y. -
- St. John's improved to 6-2 at home this season, including a 5-1 showing at Carnesecca Arena.
- The Red Storm shot 51.1 percent (24-47) in the game and has now shot over 50.0 percent five times this season. The squad is 4-1 when shooting at least 50.0 percent.
- The team also shot 46.2 percent (6-13) from 3-point land. St. John's is now 4-1 when shooting over 45.0 percent from beyond the arc.
- St. John's outrebounded Cincinnati 32-26. This marks the second straight game that the Red Storm has won the battle of the boards and the seventh time this season. The team is 5-2 when winning the rebound battle.
- Anthony Mason Jr. led the Red Storm with 17 points. Mason Jr. has now scored in double figures in six straight games.
- Mason Jr. also connected on a season-best three 3-pointers.
- Eugene Lawrence dished out three assists to up his career total to 467. Lawrence now needs just 11 more helpers to tie Frank Alagia for third on the all-time list.
- Larry Wright drained two 3-pointers and now has connected from long range 26 times this season. Wright made 25 3-pointers during the 2006-07 season, his freshman campaign.
- Wright has also netted 133 points this season to best the 125 points he scored as a freshman.
- D.J. Kennedy reached double-figures for the seventh time in his career with 13 points. In two BIG EAST games Kennedy is averaging 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds.
- Tomas Jasiulionis started his career high 11th game. The center started ten games in 2006-07.
- Justin Burrell tallied 13 points and five rebounds. Burrell is averaging 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in his first two career BIG EAST games.
