QUEENS, N.Y. -
- For the first time this season, St. John's was held under 70 points. The Red Storm had averaged 75.7 points per game entering the night.
- St. John's opened the game on an 8-0 run prompting St. Francis to call a timeout at the 15:37 mark.
- D.J. Kennedy notched his second double-double of the season, and the fourth of his career, with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Kennedy has reached double-figures five times this year.
- For the fourth time this year, Malik Boothe reached double-figures with a 12 point effort. Boothe also added five assists and is averaging 5.7 assists per game on the year. The sophomore has tallied at least five assists in six of seven games.
- With 13 points, Paris Horne tallied double-figures for the fifth straight game. In four games since entering the starting rotation, Horne is averaging 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 34.5 minutes.
- Dele Coker tallied three blocks for the second-straight game. Coker has 10 blocks on the season, including eight in the past three games.
- St. John's held St. Francis to 38.3 percent shooting from the floor marking the fifth time this season that the Red Storm has held the opposition under 40.0 percent. St. John's is 5-0 in such contests.
- The Red Storm won the battle of the boards for the sixth time this season, posting a 38-32 advantage.
