Third Seed St. John's Hosts Indiana In NCAA Quarterfinals

QUEENS, N.Y. - After a win in the NCAA Round of 16, the third-seeded St. John's men's soccer team will host sixth-seeded Indiana in the NCAA Quarterfinals. The two teams will take to the field at 5 p.m. on Dec. 6. After defeating BU, 1-0, in the second round, St. John's (18-2-3) defeated UC Irvine, 3-2, in the Round of 16. Indiana defeated Michigan, 3-0, in the Round of 16 after defeating Saint Louis, 2-0, in the second round.

- This will be the fifth meeting between the two teams in a series that began in 2001. The all-time series is even at 2-2-0.
- This will also be the third time that the teams have met in the NCAA Tournament, with both of those meetings coming in the College Cup.
- Indiana defeated St. John's in double overtime, 2-1, in the 2001 NCAA Semifinals. The Hoosiers were also victorious, 2-1, in the 2003 NCAA Finals.
- St. John's won the first-ever meeting, 2-1, at Indiana in 2001 and also won 3-0 at home in 2002.
