NEW YORK, NY (AP) -Sean Evans scored 19 points to lead St. John's to its seventh straight win, 65-44 win over Marist on Saturday night.

Paris Horne added 12 points for the Red Storm (9-1), and Rob Thomas and D.J. Kennedy had 11 each, putting St. John's into the title game of the Holiday Festival tournament at Madison Square Garden against Virginia Tech.

Ryan Schneider scored 14 points for the Red Foxes (3-7). He put Marist up 12-10, but St. John's answered with a 13-0 run to take command.

The St. John's men's basketball team picked up its fifth straight victory on Tuesday evening, with a 65-60 win over Seton Hall at Madison Square Garden. The Red Storm erased a 15 point deficit to win its seventh BIG EAST contest of the season.
