- St. John's improved to 7-1 when outrebounding the opposition. The Red Storm held a 43-30 rebounding edge against the Highlanders.
- The Red Storm shot 50.8 percent (30-59) from the floor, breaking the 50.0 percent mark for the third time on the year. The squad is 3-0 when shooting at least 50.0 percent.
- St. John's opened the game on an 8-0 run in the first 1:38, prompting NJIT to call a timeout.
- The Red Storm led by 19 points at the break, tying its largest halftime lead of the season (39-20 against St. Francis).
- Paris Horne tallied a career-high 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor. Horne has reached double figures in six-straight games. The sophomore has shot 56.5 percent (13-23) from the field over the past two games.

- In his collegiate debut, walk-on Kevin Clark grabbed a rebound in the final minute of action.
- Walk-on Julius Brown scored his first collegiate point, converting the second of two free throw attempts with 43 seconds remaining.
