- The Red Storm has now won three straight BIG EAST games for the first time since defeating USF, Louisville and Pittsburgh during the 2005-06 season.
- St. John's committed just eight turnovers in the game. It was the second fewest number of turnovers this season (7 vs. FDU).
- The Red Storm dished out seven assists before committing its first turnover at the 8:27 mark of the first half.
- The team shot 26-55 (47.3 percent) for the game marking the 12th time that the Red Storm has shot over 40.0 percent. The team is 9-3 when shooting over 40.0 percent from the floor.
- The Red Storm outrebounded Providence 28-25. The Red Storm has now outrebounded the opposition eight times in BIG EAST play.
- Sean Evans scored a career-high 12 points and added a career-high nine rebounds to finish just shy of his first career double-double.
- Malik Boothe made his second straight and second career start and finished with six points and six assists. Boothe is averaging 6.0 assists over the past three games.
- Eugene Lawrence scored in double figures for the second straight game. Lawrence scored the first five points of the game to give St. John's an early 5-0 lead.
- Larry Wright also reached double-figures for the third straight game with 16 points. Wright is averaging 14.3 points per game during the Red Storm's current three-game winning streak.
- Justin Burrell reached double-figures for the 15th time this season after scoring 10 points.
