St. John's Hosts DePaul Before Heading To Syracuse

QUEENS, N.Y. - The No. 22 St. John's men's soccer team will host DePaul in a Halloween matchup before heading to Syracuse for a rescheduled game to conclude the regular season. The Red Storm will host the Blue Demons at 7:30 p.m. on Oct.31 and will face the Orange at 6 p.m on Nov. 1. Stat Of The Week
15-0-4: St. John's home unbeaten streak dating back to a 2-2 tie against Seton Hall on Nov. 7, 2007. The Red Storm has not been defeated at home since dropping a 2-0 decision to DePaul on Oct. 27, 2007.

Thank You Seniors
- Prior to the DePaul game, St. John's will celebrate Senior Night to recognize and thank six seniors for their efforts and contributions to the St. John's soccer program.
- The 2008 BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year, Nelson Becerra has played in 56 games in three seasons with the Red Storm. An All-BIG EAST first team selection in 2008, the midfielder has tallied 13 goals and 10 assists for a career total of 36 points. A 2008 third team all-region choice, Becerra has six game-winning goals, including the penalty kick against Indiana that sent St. John's to the 2008 College Cup.
- Derby Carrillo has made 17 appearances in goal, including 16 starts in two seasons with the Red Storm. The keeper has a 5-2-9 career-record with six shutouts, a 0.60 goals against average and an .853 save percentage.
- Ben Clack has appeared in 59 games, while making 49 starts. A two-time BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, this two-time team captain has two goals and two assists for a career-total of six points.
- The 2008 BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, Joel Gustafsson has appeared in 77 games, including 74 starts. A 2008 second team NSCAA All-American, a 2008 first team All-BIG EAST selection and a 2007 All-BIG EAST honorable mention, Gustafsson is a team captain and has four goals, including one game-winner, and four assists for a career total of 12 points.
- Jara Habib has appeared in 40 games and has made 18 starts. The forward has two goals, including one game-winner, and five assists for a career total of nine points.
- David Reed has appeared in 75 games with 66 starts. He is the only Red Storm player to start in every game over the past three seasons; a stretch of 61-straight contests. A team captain, Reed has one career assist and has taken 16 shots.
Chiduku Nets Game-Winner In First 2009 Start
- A 2008 All-BIG EAST third team selection, Trevor Chiduku netted a second-half game-winner to give St. John's a 2-1 win at Cincinnati.
- The goal was the first of the season for the junior midfielder, who made 12 starts in 2008 and had seven goals and one assist.
- Chiduku has now scored a goal in each of three-career against Cincinnati.
Faga Picks Up First-Career Collegiate Point
- Redshirt freshman Josh Faga tallied his first-career collegiate point on Oct. 24 against Cincinnati.
- The midfielder assisted on the game-winning goal as St. John's defeated Cincinnati, 2-1.
