- St. John's improves to 67-37 all-time in the Holiday Festival. Looking for its 15th Holiday Festival crown, the Red Storm will play Cornell at 9 p.m. on December 21 in the championship.
- Trailing 59-54 with 6:57 remaining in regulation, St. John's closed the game with a 18-1 run.
- St. John's outrebounded Hofstra 53-41. The 53 rebounds were a season-high and included 19 on the offensive end.
- The Red Storm also finished with a season-best 11 blocks, including a career-high five rejections for Justin Brownlee. The squad has averaged 8.7 blocks in the past three games.
- D.J. Kennedy finished with 19 points and a career-high 15 rebounds to record his second-straight double-double. Kennedy is averaging 14.3 points and 11.7 rebounds in the past three games.
- Brownlee also recorded his second-straight double-double with a 10-point, 13 rebound effort. Brownlee has scored in double figures in the past three games and is averaging 11.3 points per game in that stretch.
- Sean Evans grabbed 10 rebounds (six offensive) for his second double-figure rebounding effort of the year. Evans is averaging 7.0 rebounds per game, including 3.6 offensive boards per contest.
- After netting a team-high 11 points in the first half, Dwight Hardy finished with a career-high 17 points. Hardy was 3-for-6 from long range and tied a career-high with four rebounds.
