Opening statement
"I thought we played with more energy in the second half. We were much better defensively. I thought we turned them over, which is what we needed to do, and I thought we finished plays and moved the ball better in the second half. I give them a lot of credit, they are so big inside."
On playing man-to-man tonight
"They weren't a team that you really wanted to try to trap because they are so long and so big so they can see over our trap. That is why we guarded them one-on-one."
On upcoming Big East conference play
"From a defensive effort in the second half, I thought that is how we have to play in the Big East. I think we did a decent job of rebounding, but we need to do better. We have to get better with the ball and not turn the ball over."

On bench play
"I think that is big from our team. It shows we have depth. A lot of people stepped up today. It took a load off of me. Everybody that came off the bench and played well."

"We played hard at Duke. We didn't get the win, that is in the past, we moved on to the next game, came out and got the win."
