- D.J. Kennedy ended the night with a game-high 20 points, three shy of his personal best (23, Nov. 14 vs. LIU). Kennedy was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field and 2-for-2 from the line in the first half. The sophomore has led St. John's in scoring eight times this season. The Pittsburg, Pa., native also led the Red Storm with nine rebounds, marking the eighth time he led the team this year.
- TyShwan Edmondson's field goal at the 4:10 mark in the first half was his first since Jan. 28 at West Virginia. The freshman finished with four points, the most he has scored since Dec. 27 vs. Miami.
- Sean Evans finished with 15 points, his 14th double-figure performance this season. The sophomore forward went 3-for-3 at the free throw line. He averages .479 percent from the stripe this year. Evans Finished his night with a tip-in dunk with 1:14 remaining in the game, cutting the Duke lead to 10, 71-61.
- Malik Boothe scored 10 points, his highest total since Dec. 14 vs. Bethune Cookman.
- Rob Thomas started his second-straight and fourth game this season, finishing with four points on 2-of-3 shooting from the field.
- Quincy Roberts played 24 minutes for the Red Storm, his highest total since his 30-minute performance on Jan. 28 vs. West Virginia. The freshman guard finished with six points, his best total since Feb. 1 vs. USF.
- St. John's shot 54.0 percent from the field vs. Duke, its second-best shooting performance of the season (54.2, Nov. 17 vs. Cornell). The Red Storm averages 43.5 percent shooting on the year.
- The Red Storm shot 81.3 percent from the free throw line against the Blue Devils, its best total this year.
- St. John's cut the deficit to eight points, 71-63, with 59 seconds remaining in the game and came within five points, 74-69, with 15 seconds left in the game.
