Team Notes

The St. John's bench poured in a season-high 44 points. The Red Storm bench is now averaging 28.7 points per game.
St. John's was outrebounded, 44-38, but had a 14-8 advantage on the offensive glass. The squad has pulled down more offensive boards in five of six games this year and is averaging 12.8 offensive rebounds per game.
St. John's forced a season-high 21 turnovers, the most since forcing 21 against Cincinnati on Jan. 13, 2010.
St. John's also had a season-best 15 steals, which marked the most since totaling 15 thefts against Providence on March 1, 2005.
For the second-straight game, St. John's had only eight turnovers. The Red Storm has had less than 10 turnovers on four occassions and is 4-0 in those contests.

Individual Notes

D.J. Kennedy posted a season-best 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor. The effort marked the 12th time in his career that he has scored at least 20 points.
Justin Brownlee reached double-figures for the fifth-straight game with a 17-point performance. The senior is averaging 17.0 points per contest in that stretch and is also shooting 64.7 percent (33-for-51) in that same five-game span.
With a 10-point effort, Dwight Hardy reached double-figures for the fourth-straight game. Hardy added a career-best and game-high four steals. Hardy was 5-for-5 from the charity stripe in the contest and has made 12-consecutive free throws dating back to the Ball State contest.
Earning his first start of the season, Paris Horne scored six points and added a game-high and career-best eight rebounds.
Malik Stith made his second-career start and first since a BIG EAST contest against Providence on Jan. 3, 2010. The sophomore had two points, two rebounds and one assist. Stith has totaled 12 assists and just two turnovers in the past four games.
