QUEENS, N.Y. - Junior Connor Lade has earned second team All-Northeast Region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Lade, who earned his first-career All-BIG EAST honors this year with a third team selection, represents the Red Storm's 53rd all-time NSCAA All-Region honoree.
One of two players to earn BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors twice this season, Lade started all 18 games for the Red Storm and was the only player to play all 1,668 minutes on the year.
Lade tallied one assist, setting up the game-winner in a 5-0 win against FDU on Sept. 10, and helped lead a defensive unit that posted 10 shutouts, including a stretch of six-straight to close out the regular season.
Among the teams shutout in the six-game stretch, which was just one game shy of the school-record for consecutive clean sheets, were a pair of ranked foes in then-No. 5 Connecticut, and then-No. 24 USF.
