NEW YORK (AP) - - Andrew Nicholson's shot with 5.2 seconds left gave St. Bonaventure a 67-66 win over St. John's on Tuesday night.
Dwight Hardy scored 24 points to lead St. John's, which had a five-game winning streak snapped.
Nicholson finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds, and had his second-straight game winner. His other was with 6.8 seconds left in a 76-74 win over Buffalo on Dec. 4.
Michael Davenport scored 22 points and the Atlantic 10's Co-Player of the Week, Ogo Adegboye, had 10. The Bonnies' (5-2) starters played all but 13 minutes against St. John's (5-2).
St. Bonaventure outrebounded the Red Storm 41-30, while St. John's scored 21 points off of 19 turnovers.
Despite the turnovers, St. Bonaventure gained an edge at the free-throw line. The Bonnies were 18 of 22 (81.8 percent) from the foul line.
