St. John's Names Pascual Guerrero Assistant Athletic Trainer

QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John’s Department of Athletics announced on Tuesday the appointment of Pascual Guerrero to the position of assistant athletic trainer. Guerrero will be responsible for the men’s soccer and men’s lacrosse teams.
Guerrero is a NATA-certified trainer who comes to St. John’s after working with the New York Knicks as an athletic training intern this past season. While there, he organized the training room, assisted with the medical care of the game referees and administered post-game nutrition to players.
Guerrero earned his masters of science in athletic training and sports sciences from Long Island University in 2009. He also received his undergraduate degree in athletic training from LIU.
In addition to his experience with the Knicks, Guerrero served as athletic trainer for Professional Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in Bayside, N.Y., as well as a training camp intern with the Detroit Lions in the summers of 2007 and 2008. He also worked as an athletic training student intern with St. John’s in 2008, working with the men’s basketball, men’s lacrosse and women’s track & field teams among others.
