Team Notes
- St. John's pulled down a season-high 51 rebounds, the most since grabbing 53 boards in a triple-overtime win at DePaul on March 5, 2010. The Red Storm also grabbed 53 earlier that season in a regulation win against Hofstra on Dec. 20, 2009. St. John's, which was +14 on the glass, has posted a combined +30 margin on the boards in the past two games.
- The Red Storm led by nine at the break (35-26), its largest halftime lead of the season. The squad is 3-0 this year when leading at the half.
- St. John's held Fordham to just 29.7 percent (19-of-64) from the floor, the lowest opponent percentage allowed by the Red Storm this season. The Rams entered the game shooting 38.3 percent from the field on the year.
- The Red Storm attempted a season-low 14 free throws. St. John's entered the game having attempted fewer than 20 free throws just twice this season: 19 vs. St. Francis (Nov. 22) and 18 vs. Northeastern (Nov. 26).
Individual Notes
- Moe Harkless posted his third-consecutive double-double with 13 points and a career-high 16 rebounds. The 16-board peformance marked the most by a Red Storm player since Sean Evans also grabbed 16 rebounds at Notre Dame on March 6, 2009. Harkless is averaging 16.0 points and 12.3 rebounds in the past three contests.
- God'sgift Achiuwa was in double-figures for the seventh time this season with a 10-point effort. The junior also grabbed eight rebounds and is averaging 8.4 rebounds in the past five games.
- Earning his sixth-consecutive start, Phil Greene finished with nine points and a career-high seven rebounds and also tied a career-high with four assists. Greene is averaging 7.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists this season as a starter.
- D'Angelo Harrison scored 15 points for the second-straight game and has now reached double-figures in eight games this season. Harrison went 2-of-5 from beyond the arc to record his sixth multi-trey performance.
