Team Notes
- St. John's had two 20-point scorers for the first time since Feb. 10, 2011 when Dwight Hardy had 33 points and D.J. Kennedy chipped in with 20 in an 89-72 win against Connecticut at The Garden.
- St. John's scored 42 points in the second half, its sixth half this season with at least 40 points. Five of the six 40-point stanzas have come in the second half of action, including a season-high 48 second-half points against William & Mary in the season-opener.
- The Red Storm fired at a 50.0 percent (27-of-54) clip from the floor, shooting at least 50.0 percent for the fourth time this season. St. John's is 3-1 when shooting 50.0 percent or better.
- St. John's committed just nine turnovers in the game, its fewest since a season-low four turnovers in the season-opening win against William & Mary.
- The Red Storm had a +2 margin on the boards (28-26) to outrebound the opposition for the third-straight contest.
Individual Notes
- God'sgift Achiuwa set a new career-best with a game-high 22 points, his second-career 20-point game (21 vs. Lehigh on Nov. 9). Achiuwa made a career-high 10 field goals, including his first-career 3-pointer. The junior also added nine rebounds and is averaging 8.5 boards in the last six games.
- D'Angelo Harrison tied a career-high with a 21-point effort. The freshman tallied his third-straight and seventh-career multi-trey game with a 3-for-5 showing from beyond the arc. Harrison also grabbed a career-high seven rebounds.
- Freshman Amir Garrett made his collegiate-debut, entering as a substitute at the 13:22 mark, and finished with three points and two rebounds in 15 minutes of action.
- Phil Greene had four assists for the third-straight contest and finished with at least one assist and zero turnovers for the fourth time this season.
