On what to expect from Youngstown State:
"Youngstown State is going to come in here with very good guard play. Kendrick Perry, Preseason Player of the Year in the Horizon League, has been a terror since he's arrived on campus. He's really played well. He's very quick, very elusive and we'll have our hands full there."
On head coach Jerry Slocum:
"Jerry Slocum has been a coach who has been in the Ohio and Pennsylvania area for his entire career and has been known for being an offensive X and O guy in terms of putting kids in different spots and giving you a lot of different schemes to look at."
On the team's field goal percentage:
"Our field goal percentage is certainly something to be prideful of because that means defensively you're improving and as we keep improving, we can use that length, quickness and depth to our advantage. At the end of the season, you have to be good defensively. That's been a big point of emphasis."
On Chris Obekpa:
"I was really happy with Chris' play on Wednesday. I thought he did a good job in terms of where he needs to catch the ball. He's so athletic and quick on the defensive end, but sometimes offensively you don't need to play that way, you want to play powerful but sometimes you need to gather yourself and not hurry your shot."
