QUEENS, N.Y. - Defender Tim Parker has earned third team National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Great Lakes Region honors to cap a standout career with a third-straight selection to an NSCAA All-Region team. St. John's has registered at least one All-Region honoree in each of the past five seasons and now totals 61 All-Region selections in program-history.
Parker becomes the Red Storm's first three-time NSCAA All-Region honoree since MAC Hermann Trophy winner Chris Wingert garnered a pair of first team selections (2002-03) and a third team selection (2001).
A unanimous first team All-BIG EAST selection this past season, Parker appeared in 17 games, all starts, and finished with one goal and one assist. The center back scored the equalizer in a 2-2 draw against Hofstra (Sept. 4) and assisted on the game-winner in a 2-1 win against Harvard (Sept. 13). Parker was one of just three field players to play every minute in conference action.
In addition to three NSCAA All-Region selections, Parker garnered BIG EAST honors in each of his four seasons with the Red Storm. The two-time first team All-BIG EAST selection also earned second team honors as a sophomore and All-Rookie accolades as a freshman.
