Wayman Earns Second BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Selection

QUEENS, N.Y. - After helping St. John's complete a 5-0 week with a three-game sweep of Holy Cross, junior Robert Wayman has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season.
One of two Red Storm players to hit safely in all five games, Wayman batted .368 (7-for-19) with a pair of multi-hit games. The infielder, who also scored at least one run in all five games, added a team-leading six runs, matched a team-best with seven RBI and posted a .478 on-base percentage.
Wayman went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored against Iona before going 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs against FDU. The infielder then went 1-for-4 with the go-ahead RBI and a run in the series-opener against Holy Cross. Wayman finished 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored in game two against the Crusaders before going 1-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in the series-finale.
St. John's (8-10) continues its 10-game homestand on March 18 with a 3 p.m. game against Fairfield (3-8). The Red Storm then hosts LIU Brooklyn (6-7-1) on March 19 at 3 p.m. in a game that will be carried live on ESPN3.
