Team Notes
- The Red Storm's 13 blocked shots were its most since a 14-block performance against LIU Brooklyn (Nov. 19, 2014).
- St. John's held Marquette to 31.7 percent (19-of-60) on the floor, their lowest mark since a 28.9-percent (13-of-45) effort vs. Wisconsin (Dec. 6, 2014). Marquette entered today shooting 46.0 percent from the field.
- The Red Storm forced 15 turnovers and has forced 10 or more turnovers in each of its last four games.
- St. John's tallied 16 assists, the most since a 17-assist effort vs. Tulane (Dec. 28, 2014).
Individual Notes
- Sir'Dominic Pointer finished with 15 points and matched a career-high 12 rebounds to record his third double-double of the season and eighth of his career. Pointer is averaging 12.2 points over the last five games. Pointer also tied a career-high with six blocks and added six assists.
- Chris Obekpa finished with 10 rebounds, his fifth double-digit board performance of the season and 12th of his career. Obekpa also added six points and five blocks.
- Rysheed Jordan scored 15 points to match a team-high. Jordan is averaging 12.3 points over his last six games.
- D'Angelo Harrison scored 11 points and has reached double-figure scoring in all but one game this season. Harrison also blocked two shots, tying his previous season-high vs. Fairleigh Dickinson (Dec. 10, 2014).
- Phil Greene IV finished with 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting and has scored in double-figures in seven of his last eight contests.
- Jamal Branch had four assists and no turnovers in 13 minutes. Branch has committed just 17 turnovers in 415 minutes this season, only one every 24.4 minutes on the floor.
