QUEENS, N.Y. - Following a standout rookie campaign, St. John's forward Mike Prosuk was unanimously selected to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team. Prosuk, who led all BIG EAST rookies with five goals, was one of five unanimous choices on the 12-man All-Freshman Team.
Prosuk appeared in all 18 games, including 15 starts, for the Red Storm. The freshman's five goals in the regular season led St. John's and also ranked tied for 11th overall in the league. Prosuk scored a team-high two game-winning goals and tied for the team-lead with two assists, while finishing with a team-high 12 points.
The forward scored two goals, including the game-winner, as part of first-career multi-goal effort in a 2-0 win at DePaul (Oct. 31). The two-goal performance marked the only multi-goal game for the Red Storm this season.
Prosuk also tallied a goal at Butler (Oct. 17), scored his first-career game-winner against Central Connecticut (Sept. 29) and recorded his first-career goal against Quinnipiac (Sept. 22).
The freshman assisted on the game-winning goal against Siena (Sept. 15) and registered his first-career point with an assist against then-No. 19 Denver (Sept. 12).
